Characteristics
Series 602 are nine-storey slab building (there are 6 storey buildings too) which load-bearing constructions are designed of lightweight aggregate concrete wall panels and reinforced concrete covering slab. There are loggias and relatively large kitchens. Built from mid 1970s to early 1980s when this type was replaced with series 119. This is the most common series in Riga. This project has been designed in several variants including two-storey apartments in Mežciems. Buildings are mainly located in Purvciems, Mežciems, Imanta, Pļavnieki, Ziepniekkalns, Vecmīlgrāvis and Iļģuciems. The first building was built in 1967 on the corner of Vaidavas and Dzelzavas street.
